Thank You

I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free... so other people would be also free.

I just wanted to show my appreciation for the mother of the civil rights movement for her strength, persistence and courage on that historic day in 1955.

*ducky hugs for Rosa Parks*

I love that you paid her tribute!
Is today an anniversary or something?

yep Peggy, today is the 55th anniversary of the day she refused to get up.

i had no idea that was on this date.
whenever i think about her i get overwhelmed. the courage that it must have taken to just not get up is just immense. she was amazing.

tammie ~ i agree completely. her story always brings a tear to my eyes...i mean really, how terrifying that must have been to her. makes we wonder what the people around her thought/felt/did. do you watch that show "what would you do"? i think it would have been fascinating to have hidden cameras on the bus that day.
