Also...

...I can't wait to see this movie

*I tried to resize this three times...but I am obviously not smart enough to figure out how to make it exactly right. Go me! But honestly it's better if you put it in full screen mode anyway ;)

i tried to comment on this post a minute ago but for some reason my whole computer froze up and i had to shut everything down and start over. wtf? im blaming kristen stewart. anyway, my best friend and i have a theory, a totally uneducated, unsubstantiated theory mind you, that krisen stewart isnt as straight as she (ahem) pretends to be. its not just the way she looks or carries herself, but i just get a vibe from her that there is a part of her that maybe shes just not comfortable with for whatever reason, like maybe shes not being totally honest with herself or others. your thoughts? does all this sound like the mindless theory of an idiot? ha.

moving on....the real joan jett has aged beautifully! if i can look half as good as she does at her age, ill be doing ok.

I have heard some great things about this movie. I am not a big fan of Kristen's and Tammie made a point of her not feeling comfortable w/herself may be it.

I heard Dakota Fanning is fabulous. but when isn't she?

Isn't Joan just 51? She looks like a 51 yr old to me.
Not old just a typical 51.
I think that you young 'uns think 51 is something that was another generation cause you are all young pert and tight....tee hee :-)

tammie ~ i've often thought the same thing. maybe that's why i'm drawn to my little k-stew...she reminds me of me when i was that age i think. i was very awkward and uncomfortable with myself. i think your theory might be spot on. but, really i just want to give her a hug and tell her it will all be ok. because i'm creepy like that.

peggy ~ maybe i've just been around some really haggard 50+ year olds in my day...but i think joan jett looks fucking fantastic (pardon the language). and trust me not everyone in their early 30's is pert and tight...just sayin'.

oh, and peggy, i just read somewhere that dakota fanning took singing lessons and actually sings in the movie...which i very much respect and admire.

ha ha ha. i wish i was pert and tight. im mostly happy with my body, but lets be honest, once you have two kids, certain parts of you are irrevocably changed.

i think what i most like about the way joan jett looks isnt that she looks young necessarily, but that she just looks like someone who has taken care of herself over the years. and she doesnt look like shes resorted to a lot of plastic surgery. shes aged well.

everytime my husband sees her he says, "yeah, id totally dust that off."

didnt you have another post up here about life and style? i was totally gonna comment on it but i couldnt earlier because i was too pissed off at it (the magazine cover, not your post).honestly, i had so much to say i couldnt even gather my thoughts coherently. fuck it, im just gonna leave my comment right here. you dont mind do you? that'll teach you to delete a blog post. :)

first off, i HATE it when sexuality is thrust on a kid in any manner, which is basically what this magazine is doing. shiloh is three years old! who cares if she wants to look like a boy?! it means nothing at this age other than that she probably really looks up to her older brother or some other male family member.

secondly, the sentence at the bottom of the cover really burns me. "Is it harming the 3 year old?" Tell me, oh great tome of knowledge Life and Style, how is a short hair cut and not wanting to play with girlie things "harming" this child? ooooh, by "harming" you actually meant "making gay." yeah, and we wouldnt want that would we? fuck you life and style. again, shiloh is 3!!! im pretty sure sex doesnt even rank as high as THE LAST THING on her mind.

thirdly, who the fuck does Life and Style think it is?!?! this is the magazine that regularly has half naked Kardashians on the cover and now all of a sudden they are worried about the mental health of the toddlers of america. give me a freakin' break. the whole thing just smacks of hypocrisy.

anyway, thats my rant. feel free to delete it if you want, i wouldnt be offended since there was obviously a reason you deleted the post. but i feel like there was a reason you initially published it in the first place and i wanted to make my voice heard. even if it was heard by no one other than you.

:)

also, its my opinion that there is a serious anti-gay message to this cover. while its not very subtle to me, i think most of america wont even pick up on it. its sad really.
